Costa Rica Travel – Zorb. Zorbing. To Zorb. It’s a new word and it means an adrenaline filled ride.
The new attraction at Místico Arenal Hanging Bridges Park, in La Fortuna de San Carlos is giant spheres to roll down a hill in.
As if you weren’t sold already, the fun gets even more outrageous as the spheres have a level of water in them. The very brave can ride alone and the rest of us can go with a friend- whose hand will be the only thing there to hold.
The adventurous adrenaline junkies have been raving about this attraction that scares the claustrophobic. A fun thing to do is use a GoPro or some kind of camera to record video while inside the inflatable sphere zig zagging down the hill.
The ride is 200 meters in a dug out grass area. The event was first conceived in New Zealand and spread rapidly. The spheres roll up to 25 kilometers per hour. A tip for the extra brave-ask for extra water because it will make you go faster than average.
The cost is $35 for two rides.
