Costa Rica News – (Surf Report March 21st and March 22nd) – We are going to give you the surf forecast for Costa Rica and we have our new Surf Girl of the Week in Costa Rica. This weekend is pretty nice on the Pacific side but a the Caribbean is looking at overhead set coming in, so if you are looking for big waves head to the Carribbean side of CR. North Costa Rica & Central Costa Rica & South Costa Rica Forecast for the Pacific
FRIDAY: New SW-S swell mix for knee-chest high surf. Trace NW swell at best breaks.
WEATHER/WIND: For most areas, look for light/variable winds for the early mornings. Then a moderate SW/WSW seabreeze gradually develops over the mid to late morning hours and into each afternoon. Possible evening glass-off for some areas before dark. Chance of showers/thunderstorms in the PM.
Friday 03/21 – 0.6-0.9m+ Knee to chest high – Small SSW swell, new SW swell shows late with plus sets, largest late, trace NW swell at best breaks
Saturday 03/22– 0.9-1.5m – waist to head high – SW-S swell peaks

Small short period wind waves from the east-northeast rising later in the next few days. Light northeast winds with a slight chop, Increasing later. Moderate short period wind waves from the east-northeast holding during the early part of next week. Light east-northeast winds with a slight chop.
Friday 03/21 – 2.1-2.4m – Head high to 1m overhead – Moderate mid period swell from the east-northeast holding during the day. Light and variable north-northeast winds with smooth seas, increasing rapidly later.
Saturday 03/22 – 1.8-2.1m – Shoulder high to 0.5m overhead – Moderate mid period swell from the east-northeast holding during the day. Light and variable north winds with smooth seas, increasing rapidly later.
