Costa Rica News – InterNations is a social network for expatriates from around the world. There’s an online component, as well as in-person get-togethers. They have announced that the first offline event of 2014, in Costa Rica will be on Tuesday, January 28th, starting at 6:30 pm, at the Hard Rock Cafe in Costa Rica.
The event will consist of quiz games and prizes from sponsors, like Fitness Evolution Gym. A welcome cocktail is included in the entrance fee, which is free for Albatross members, 6,000 colones for Basic members, and 8,000 colones for guests.
If you have been to these events before, InterNations asks that you seek out newcomers and make them feel welcome. They put it this way, “If you see someone alone in a corner, it’d be great if you introduced them to your friends. We can thus share the spirit of connecting global minds, and every member will have a lovely time.”
InterNations is represented by 390 local communities around the world. They strive to connect people living and working abroad and enable members to interact with other global minds, make friends and business contacts, and exchange information on expat-specific topics.
