Costa Rica News – (Surf Report September 30th & October 1st) – We are going to give you the surf forecast for Costa Rica and we have Costa Rica surf pics. This weekend is a great one to hit the beach and some fun sets rolling in, There are going to fun sets coming in on the Pacific side and and then a nice swell coming in on the Caribbean side of Costa Rica Saturday. We have also added surf video from Playa Hermosa, Costa Rica.
North Costa Rica & Central Costa Rica & South Costa Rica Forecast for the Pacific
FRIDAY: SSW swell-mix is holding solid with similar-size surf on tap in the morning, before easing a notch through the afternoon/evening.
WEATHER/WIND: Light/variable to locally light offshore winds early will trend onshore from the S/SW through the mornings. Onshore flow builds to light-moderate levels in the afternoons, then may ease for parts of the region each evening. Thunderstorms are likely and keep in mind that passing or nearby showers and thunderstorms can temporarily affect/change local wind conditions.
Friday 09/30 – 5-7ft – head high to 2 ft overhead – SSW swell holds to slowly eases. Galapagos Shadow slows parts of the region.
Saturday 10/01 – 4-6ft – shoulder high to 1 ft overhead – SSW swell slowly fades.

Small short period wind waves from the east-northeast holding during the next few days. Light and variable southwest winds until Saturday and switching to the north. Moderate short period wind waves from the east-northeast falling later in the early part of next week. Light and variable west-southwest winds later and switching to the east-southeast.
Friday 09/30- 3-4ft – Knee to shoulder – Small short period wind waves from the east-northeast holding during the day. Light and variable west-southwest winds all day and switching to the north.
Saturday 10/01 – 7-8ft – Head high to 3ft overhead – Small short period wind waves from the east-northeast rising later in the day. Light and variable west winds and switching to the north.
