Costa Rica Travel News – As you travel down the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica most people will be travelling to the hottest destination by numbers in Costa Rica, Manuel Antonio. Midway between the quaint beach town of Quepos and the gorgeous Manuel Antonio National Park you will find the friendly confines of Hotel Mono Azul.
Hotel Mono Azul is different from the many resorts in the Manuel Antonio/Quepos area. It’s more affordable, friendly, and unique. It’s built into the hills on both sides of the street only four kilometers from the national park and peaceful Pacific beaches. This hotel is located in the rain forest outside of the town so you feel immersed in the Costa Rica rain forest but close to all the area’s attractions.
The 32 units include standard rooms with fans, queen beds, hot water, and free WIFI and Deluxe rooms with A/C and patios. Villas and an apartment are available for larger groups or those seeking more privacy. The Tower is the largest villa, a two story apartment with 2 bedrooms and a loft. It comes with wrap-around balconies and a living room with gorgeous mountain views. All of the units have impressive local artwork designed by artists in the area. The pools and many tropical gardens complete the property.
Unlike other hotels where the ambience is “party” friendly, Mono Azul provides a family friendly environment where you are able to relax and enjoy the natural environment to the fullest. The tropical surroundings give the hotel a unique Costa Rican atmosphere. In addition to the friendly environment, the “mom-and-pops” hotel make anyone feel welcome hosted by the owners themselves.
The hotel is eco-friendly, so you can stay there in good conscience. They recycle, use energy efficient lighting and washing, use organic locally grown foods, compost waste, and have an “Adopt a Tree” program for guests to offset their carbon impact. In addition, Hotel Mono Azul donates to the national park, local school, homeless shelter, and rehab center.
They also work with an organization called “Kids Saving The Rainforest” that has a gift shop in the hotel to support their wildlife sanctuary. This animal refuge is home to 29 monkeys. They are advancing in their abilities to help more animals thanks to the donations from Mono Azul and volunteers.
Hotel Mono Azul’s owners Chip and Jennifer will greet you and make sure that your stay in Costa Rica is as perfect as possible. The employees will greet you with a smile and make you feel as comfortable as possible while local wildlife visit you during the hotel stay.
The guests at the hotel range from backpackers passing through from Europe to parents enjoying the family friendly hotel located in the hills outside of Manuel Antoino.
The stay at Hotel Mono Azul will make you truly take in the Costa Rica travel experience.
