There are going to be some fun sets rolling on the Pacific side & some small waves rolling in on the Caribbean side of Costa Rica. We have also added surf video from Playa Hermosa, Costa Rica.
North Costa Rica & Central Costa Rica & South Costa Rica Forecast for the Pacific
FRIDAY: SSW swell peaks/holds with shoulder-head high surf and 1-2’+ overhead sets at standout spots. Smaller, secondary NW swell mixes in the background for exposures.
WEATHER/WIND: Light/variable to light offshore flow prevails in the mornings, winds trending light+ onshore as a sea-breeze develops each afternoon.
Friday 02/17 – 4-6ft – shoulder high to 1 ft overhead occ. 7ft – SSW swell holds – fading late. WNW swell also trends down.
Saturday 02/18 – 3-5ft – waist to head high occ. 6ft – Fun SSW swell eases – biggest early. Small NW swell mixes in.
