Costa Rica News – This weekend there is no ASP Surfing Event but Fiji is coming up in about a month. We are going to give you the surf forecast for Costa Rica and add in some pictures of beautiful surf girls in bikinis. Enjoy a pretty nice weekend of waves in Costa Rica from May 17th to 18th. There are waves rolling in on both coasts of Costa Rica this weekend.
FRIDAY: SSW swell energy eases a touch. The better exposed breaks will offer chest-head high surf. Standout spots will produce sets running 1-2′ overhead during the more favorable tide windows.
WEATHER/WIND: Generally calm to light/variable to locally light offshore wind for the early mornings, with a light to moderate WSW-SW’erly seabreeze gradually developing over the later part of the morning and into each afternoon. Chance for evening glassoff for many areas before dark. NOTE – Passing or nearby showers and thunderstorms can temporarily affect/change local wind conditions.
The entire second half of May is looking great at this time, with a long run of overlapping pulses of good Southern Hemi swells.

Moderate short period wind waves from the east-northeast holding during the next few days. Light and variable north-northeast winds, Increasing later and switching to the east-northeast. Small short period wind waves from the east-northeast holding during the early part of next week. Light east-northeast winds with a slight chop, Increasing later.
Friday 05/17 – 1.2-1.5m – Shoulder to head – Small short period wind waves from the east-northeast holding during the day. Light and variable north-northwest winds all day and switching to the east-northeast.
