Costa Rica News – (Surf Report May 9th and May 10th) – We are going to give you the surf forecast for Costa Rica and we have our new Jaco Beach Model of the Week. This weekend has huge up to double overhead sets rolling in on the Pacific side of Costa Rica. The Caribbean side of Costa Rica is a little on the small side but there are some nice waves as always. FRIDAY: Solid SSW swell peaks with overhead to double overhead zone surf at well exposed breaks.
WEATHER/WIND: For most areas, look for light/variable wind for the early mornings. S to SW flow will build through the mid morning and into the afternoon at moderate speeds. Potential for evening clean ups. NOTE – Passing showers or thunderstorms can temporarily affect/change local wind conditions.
Friday 05/09 – 1.8-3.1m+ head high + to double overhead – Solid SSW swell peaks
Saturday 05/10– 1.8-2.4m+ head high + to 3 ft overhead occ. 3.1m – SSW swell continues
