Costa Rica Sports News – Costa Rica’s chancs to advance very far in the World Cup in Brazil took a bit hit over the weekend. Everton left defender Bryan Oviedo has disclosed he’ll not be healthy quickly enough to play for Costa Rica during next month’s World Cup in Brazil.
The Costa Rican star soccer player had increased the amount of work on his healingduring the recent weeks and had wanted to be physically fit to be a part of the squad for the World Cup – during which the the defender would have played against England in the final Group D match.
However on Saturday evening, Oviedo announced he’ll not be healthy enough in time to play on soccer’s biggest stage, the World Cup.
Oviedo tweeted: ‘I just got the news. I gave my best, but I cannot be at the World Cup. I know my team are going to do a great job. Thanks for the support!’
Oviedo, nevertheless, made amazing improvement ever since going through a surgical procedure to fix the damage caused by his fractures. He has been at the gym and ultizing the exercise bicycles at Everton’s Finch Farm training facility and should be healthy by the beginning of next season.
