Costa Rica Sports News – Everton’s left back is battling to get back to full fitness following his horrific leg break at Stevenage in the FA Cup in January.
He said: “I want be in the World Cup. It’s one of the best experiences a footballer can have but I need to be honest for my career for the next year.
“I want to be ready. I don’t want to be 80 per cent or 90 per cent because it’s dangerous for me and the team.
“I am working for the World but if it’s not possible then I am working to recover for next season because it will be very important for me.”
