Costa Rica News – For all those people that are planning on flying down to Costa Rica for Semana Santa 2013 or packing their vehicle and heading to one of Costa Rica’s gorgeous beaches during Easter week, you might want to make sure you reserve your hotel or vacation rental now.
During Semana Santa in Costa Rica beaches, hotels, restaurants and many other tourist and beach communities remain packed. Christmas holidays in Costa Rica and Semana Santa in Costa Rica are the busiest times for the service industry of the land of “Pura Vida”.
Guancaste reported the highest level of fixed occupancy 68.8%, followed by the regions of Puntarenas with 68% and the Central Pacific with 67.1%. The South Pacific follows with 50.5%.
For its part, the Central Valley and the Caribbean have the lowest amount of bookings as of now, averaging 34.8%.
In addition, the beach hotels have an average occupancy of 62.8% and five star hotels specifically have an average of 69.1% which leads in the preferences of vacationers.
As for me I look forward to the week after Semana Santa since I live here. This time for me is great since everyone has returned to their houses after being tired out chasing the kids for 7 days or going on a Costa Rica Spring Break drinking binge and is still looking to recover. I can sit there by the ocean, listen to the waves, and watch the sunset in complete peace……..that to me is tranquility.
