Costa Rica Entertainment – Rylyuk is an artist changing the color of Tibás.
He has big dreams, like painting the whole country, but for now the urban artist is embraced for his work on street lighting poles in Tibás.
He painted a mural in 2016 and that was all we saw from him for a while but he kept street art close to his heart. He likes what he sees in other countries. His latest project stemmed from the pole outside his house which was an eyesore always covered with dirt and papers about loans.
One night he went out in the dark and cleaned it up and started to paint it. He wondered if others would see it as damaging public property. One time a few policemen approached but they did not give him any trouble.
He continued to look for more spaces to paint. He now takes suggestions of what designs to make and is making the town ever more beautiful. People thank him and say it is motivating.
