In a somewhat ironic twist to the free-spirited festival, families found themselves forking out up to ¢10,000 for a coveted spot.

Kicking off at 6 p.m., the festival will light up the route from the National Gymnasium in La Sabana to the Chinese Arch in Paseo de los Estudiantes.
