Costa Rica Entertainment – Costa Rica is full of beautiful women and there seems to be some sort of beauty pageant every month. The most recent was the Miss San Jose pageant, and yet another gorgeous woman has won against a bunch of other gorgeous women.
Last night, the new Miss San Jose received her title and her crown. She is Carolina Vargas, a 20-year-old public relations student and resident of La Uruca, San Jose.
Surprisingly, this was her debut in beauty pageants.
She is 1.72 m tall and easily beat out the other 24 candidates, winning the heart of the 10 jurors at The Park Inn Hotel. She deserved the win.
Vargas will represent at the bullfights in Zapote a well as the National Tope.
The opening of the event was complete with a cramped public including family, sponsors and media. Contestants were introduced according to the district they represented.
They paraded in their swimwear and then were narrowed down to the top 12.
Questions came next, which, to the surprise of the public, were asked in private this year.
The top three places were awarded at the conclusion of the night.
