Costa Rica News – Last week, model Leonora Jimenez announced the second edition of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week San Jose. She said it “will change the way of fashion forever in Costa Rica. In Costa Rica there is fashion and we want to prove it.” It will serve as a showcase for designers not known outside of Costa Rica and also bring in top designers from around the world.
The fashion world will come to Costa Rica, in addition to Milan, New York, and London. The event is high-profile internationally. It’s to be held the first week of May 2014, from the 8th to the 10th.
Six national designers along with five international fashion brands will present their work on the catwalks of Fashion Week. Some of them include Ana Gutierrez and Daniel Moreira, Daniel Espinosa, and Rosa Clara. The grand finale will be especially breathtaking.
The event will take place at the Real Intercontinental Hotel. Ticket prices range from $50-$60. Only 400 tickets are available. Attendance options include preview activities, seminars, a live fashion show, a viewing party of a live transmission, and an after party. Tickets are on sale in Multiplaza in Escazu.
