Costa Rica News – The Children’s Hospital of Dallas has a mission trip coming up this week in which 10 kids with serious heart problems will receive the surgeries they so desperately need.
This is the group’s third trip to the National Children’s Hospital.
Their purpose is to strengthen the local cardiovascular division as well as offer some relief to the long waiting list.
The specialists observed many problems on the first trip, even some that could result in higher mortality rates. By the second trip improvements were seen.
There is a five year plan for the national pediatric cardiovascular program which has already shown a lot of progress in the complexity of interventions as well as the safety standards.
